Short biography: Vijayendra Sekhon (*1977) is a Mumbai-based artist. His background is painting and site-specific installation. He studied Fine Arts from M.S.University, Baroda and did his second Masters at Interactive telecommunications program at Tisch School of the Arts, New York University. His work stems from everyday life, current socio-political scenarios, historical site-specific context; where learning remains at the core of his practice. Learning about one’s relationship with other, nature and cosmos at large. In his previous avatars he has worked at film production company in New York City and shown/performed his works in India, USA, MidEast and Europe.
